800f2b7c02 AES-NI: use target attributes for x86 32-bit intrinsics
This way we build with 32-bit gcc/clang out of the box.
We also fallback to assembly for 64-bit clang-cl if needed cpu
flags are not provided, instead of throwing an error.

0ecb635ca5 aesni: select __cpuid impl based on compiler type
MinGW provides both kinds of implementations of `__cpuid`,
but since `cpuid.h` is provided by GNUC, so we should choose
the implementation by the compiler type instead of OS type.

e8c4bf180b aesni: declare cpuinfo as int
Change the type of array that stores the cpuinfo
data to int[4] to match the signature of `__cpuinfo`
in `intrin.h` header file.

308cb232bf aesni: support cpuid on WIN32
`__cpuid` has two kinds of signatures in different
headers depending on the target OS. We make it
consistent between the usages ang the included header.

0d4f4e5b01 Add option to disable built-in aes implementation.
For time being, there are only two aes implementations for known
architectures. I define runtime detection function as const when
built-in was disabled. In this case, compiler will remove dead
built-in code.

Support compilation using CLang on Windows
The Microsoft-only equivalent to GCC's `cpuid.h` is `intrin.h`. CLang contains both, but neither is directly included in Win32 builds, causing `__cpuid` to not be defined. This explicitly includes `intrin.h` when `cpuid.h` is not used.

9c682e724a AESNI: Overhaul implementation selection
Have clearly separated code to:
* determine whether the assembly-based implementation is available;
* determine whether the intrinsics-based implementation is available;
* select one of the available implementations if any.

Now MBEDTLS_AESNI_HAVE_CODE can be the single interface for aes.c and
aesni.c to determine which AESNI is built.

Change the implementation selection: now, if both implementations are
available, always prefer assembly. Before, the intrinsics were used if
available. This preference is to minimize disruption, and will likely
be revised in a later minor release.

02edb7546f Get aesni.c compiling with Visual Studio
Clang is nice enough to support bitwise operators on __m128i, but MSVC
isn't.

Also, __cpuid() in MSVC comes from <intrin.h> (which is included via
<emmintrin.h>), not <cpuid.h>.

d671917d0d AESNI: add implementation with intrinsics
As of this commit, to use the intrinsics for MBEDTLS_AESNI_C:

* With MSVC, this should be the default.
* With Clang, build with `clang -maes -mpclmul` or equivalent.
* With GCC, build with `gcc -mpclmul -msse2` or equivalent.

In particular, for now, with a GCC-like compiler, when building specifically
for a target that supports both the AES and GCM instructions, the old
implementation using assembly is selected.

This method for platform selection will likely be improved in the future.

4e20144882 Improve the presentation of assembly blocks
Uncrustify indents
```
    asm("foo"
        HELLO "bar"
              "wibble");
```
but we would like
```
    asm("foo"
        HELLO "bar"
        "wibble");
```
Make "bar" an argument of the macro HELLO, which makes the indentation from
uncrustify match the semantics (everything should be aligned to the same
column).

d0f9b0bacc Don't warn about Msan/Valgrind if AESNI isn't actually built
The warning is only correct if the assembly code for AESNI is built, not if
MBEDTLS_AESNI_C is activated but MBEDTLS_HAVE_ASM is disabled or the target
architecture isn't x86_64.

This is a partial fix for #7236.

e3d8f31ba1 Workaround Uncrustify parsing of "asm"
The following code:

 #ifndef asm
 #define asm __asm
 #endif

causes Uncrustify to stop correcting the rest of the file. This may be
due to parsing the "asm" keyword in the definition.

Work around this by wrapping the idiom in an *INDENT-OFF* comment
wherever it appears.

acknowledged, and the years of publishing are no longer tracked in the
source files.

5053efde33 Warn if using a memory sanitizer on AESNI
Clang-Msan is known to report spurious errors when MBEDTLS_AESNI_C is
enabled, due to the use of assembly code. The error reports don't
mention AES, so they can be difficult to trace back to the use of
AES-NI. Warn about this potential problem at compile time.

6c8edca2d4 Fix build errors on x32 by using the generic 'add' instruction
On x32 systems, pointers are 4-bytes wide and are therefore stored in %e?x
registers (instead of %r?x registers). These registers must be accessed using
"addl" instead of "addq", however the GNU assembler will acccept the generic
"add" instruction and determine the correct opcode based on the registers
passed to it.
