<refsect1 id="description"><title>Description</title>
<para>
<function>glOrtho</function> describes a transformation that produces a parallel projection.
The current matrix (see <citerefentry><refentrytitle>glMatrixMode</refentrytitle></citerefentry>) is multiplied by this matrix
and the result replaces the current matrix, as if
<citerefentry><refentrytitle>glMultMatrix</refentrytitle></citerefentry> were called with the following matrix
as its argument:

<parameter>near</parameter> = <parameter>far</parameter>.

<constant>GL_INVALID_OPERATION</constant> is generated if <function>glOrtho</function>
is executed between the execution of
