The default synaptics functionality (without this file) is limited for
clickpads: the right soft button area in the bottom right isn't active by
default, so the entire pad generates left-clicks. There is no way to
right-drag.
This file defines soft button areas and provides some matching rules.
These settings don't conflict with the synaptics options that NixOS
provides.
Addresses #9876 in the way that we want to make sure that VirtualBox 5.x
is going to be properly detected. Right now the result is "kvm", so the
subtest fails as expected with:
error: systemd-detect-virt returned "kvm" instead of "oracle" at (eval
14) line 414, <__ANONIO__> line 92.

The previous default was $out/lib/debug, which wasn't very useful.
This ensures that you can do
environment.systemPackages = [ pkgs.hello.debug ];
to install debug info.
Booting the demo/installer image won't work if the video memory is too
low. It boots into KDE, shows the background image and doesn't do
anything, according to @domenkozar.
Thanks to @domenkozar for reporting and testing this with 32MB.

pkgs/os-specific/linux/kernel/common-config.nix defines HIGHMEM64G on
line 441 for 32bit systems, which implies PAE.
We now creating the OVA with PAE support enabled, which fixes bootup of
the image if people are just importing it without setting PAE
explicitly.

We're simply using antiquotation, since it's been a while since these
got introduced (in Nix 1.7). So we can use them because it makes the
code much more readable.
As usual, I made sure that I didn't accidentally change something in
functionality:
$ nix-instantiate nixos/tests/virtualbox.nix
...
/nix/store/cldxyrxqvwpqm02cd3lvknnmj4qmblyn-vm-test-run-virtualbox.drv
$ git stash pop
...
$ nix-instantiate nixos/tests/virtualbox.nix
...
/nix/store/cldxyrxqvwpqm02cd3lvknnmj4qmblyn-vm-test-run-virtualbox.drv
$

This is essentially not only "wrapping" the line but refactoring into a
shorter name which is used in two places.
And yes, I know I'm very pedantic if it comes to whitespaces and line
lengths, but I made sure this doesn't change any functionality:
$ nix-instantiate nixos/tests/virtualbox.nix
...
/nix/store/cldxyrxqvwpqm02cd3lvknnmj4qmblyn-vm-test-run-virtualbox.drv
$ git stash pop
...
$ nix-instantiate nixos/tests/virtualbox.nix

Instead of manually setting debug to true or false, this should make it
possible to now run the test like this:
nix-build nixos/tests/virtualbox.nix --arg debug true

Sometimes there are random kernel panics do to the lack of memory in the
qemu guests, but as we're setting the VirtualBox memory size relatively
low, 1024 MB should be enough for the qemu guests.

We want to check whether DBus functionality is working, so let's make
sure it is running in our mini-initrd.
DBus unfortunately requires to have users properly set up and another
configuration file other than in ${dbus.daemon}/etc/dbus-1/system.conf,
so we do provide that as well.

This seems to have been confusing people, using both xlibs and xorg, etc.
- Avoided renaming local (and different) xlibs binding in gcc*.
- Fixed cases where both xorg and xlibs were used.
Hopefully everything still works as before.
This reverts commit ab6c8643d4. Issue
https://github.com/NixOS/nix/issues/609 has been resolved, the new Nix
version is available after 86eaeb4c0a, and
using nix-collect-garbage has the advantage that the '-d' flag is
available, which nix-store doesn't have.
Or else users may see this unfriendly message:
error: cannot coerce null to a string, at .../nixos/modules/services/x11/display-managers/gdm.nix:107:49
Changes the option and explicitely sets it for each desktopManager.
Reasoning: Currently,
services.xserver.displayManager.desktopManagerHandlesLidAndPower is set
to true by default. This creates a problem for users without desktop
environments activated, since lid management simply doesn't work
(and they have to be lucky to find this option).
See issue #9671
This reverts commit a8eb2a6a81. OpenSSH
7.0 is causing too many interoperability problems so soon before the
15.08 release.
For instance, it causes NixOps EC2 initial deployments to fail with
"REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED". This is because the client
knows the server's ssh-dss host key, but this key is no longer
accepted by default. Setting "HostKeyAlgorithms" to "+ssh-dss" does
not work because it causes ssh-dss to be ordered after
"ecdsa-sha2-nistp521", which the server also offers. (Normally, ssh
prioritizes host key algorithms for which the client has a known host
key, but not if you set HostKeyAlgorithms.)
Using waitForWindow on the IceWM root window doesn't necessarily mean
that the panel will be shown. In the lightdm test, we only make sure
that the login is working and thus it doesn't matter how the session
itself will look or whether IceWM is broken, so we don't need that
screenshot.

This looks for the window title instead of OCRing the clock from the
IceWM panel. Of course, this has the drawback, that whenever IceWM is
started it doesn't necessarily mean that the panel is also visible at
that time, so we might want to drop the screenshot of the "session" as
well.
- upgrade 106 -> 108
- fix passphrase rewrapper (password changing should now work fine) as
discussed on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ecryptfs/+bug/1486470
- add lsof dependency so ecryptfs-migrate-home should work out of the
box
`man 1 info` says:
The first non-option argument, if present, is the menu entry to
start from; it is searched for in all `dir' files along INFOPATH.
If it is not present, info merges all `dir' files and shows the
result. Any remaining arguments are treated as the names of menu
items relative to the initial node visited.
Which means that this does what previous programs/info did and #8519
(on-the-fly infodir generation for Emacs) wanted to do, but for both
programs.
Now it generates notifications for auto-detected devices as well as
for explicitly configured ones, sends well formed e-mails and supports
immediate `wall` and `xmessage` notifications.
Avoids this warning when running `nixos-rebuild switch`:
````
building Nix...
building the system configuration...
trace: Obsolete option `services.virtualboxGuest.enable' is used. It was renamed to `virtualisation.virtualbox.guest.enable'.
````
Currently the lightdm test detects a successful login by OCR'ing the
screen and searching for the clock widget's text. Since the last
IceWM update (commit bdd20ced), either the font or the colors of the
clock changed such that the OCR doesn't pick it up anymore.
Instead, just look for a matching (root) window title, e.g.
"IceWM 1.3.9 (Linux/i686)"
This improves error messages when a set or a list is used where a path
was expected. For an example, if you used a package set (as opposed to a
single package) in systemPackages before this commit, the error was:
```
cannot coerce a list to a string, at "/home/nixpkgs/lib/types.nix":103:37
```
Now, the error message reads:
```
The option value `environment.systemPackages' in `/etc/nixos/configuration.nix' is not a list of paths.
```
And set the default value to "Address @LOCAL". This change is needed to
find printers at my workplace (with "lpinfo -v" or the
"system-config-printer" GUI). Ubuntu 14.04 also has this as default.
snmp.conf does not seem to be needed in restartTriggers, because it is
not the cups daemon itself that reads it, but some helper programs that
it spawns on demand.
This provides support for Ubuntu Fan Networking [1].
This includes:
* The fanctl package, and a corresponding NixOS service.
* iproute patches.
* kernel patches.

Commit 687caeb renamed services.virtualboxHost to programs.virtualbox,
but according to the discussion on the commit, it's probably a better to
put it into virtualisation.virtualbox instead.

Regression introduced by 032f0ffdd0.
The change doesn't look obvious at the first sight why it may cause
problems with lib.makePerlPath, but it introduces a Perl package called
"lib".
And using "with perlPackages;" uses the Perl library "lib" instead of
the lib attribute set from pkgs.
So let's use pkgs.lib.makePerlPath directly in hope that there won't be
a Perl package anytime soon which is called "pkgs".
